چکیده

The detection of a specific enzyme (cysteine lyase) of the yolk-sac endoderm by a very sensitive method is employed to characterize cell differentiation during the early stages of endoderm organogenesis in the chick. The first cells to contain active cysteine lyase are found in the germ wall at the primitive streak stage. /// vivo observations establish a relation between the morphological specialization and organization of endodermal cells, their loss of mitotic activity and the increase in cysteine lyase activity. They suggest an influence of the mesoderm on endoderm differentiation. In vitro experiments confirm the existence in the yolk-sac endoderm of an incompatibility between cell proliferation and differentiation, as well as the action of the mesoderm on both the structural organization of the endoblast and the appearance of cysteine lyase; this last action seems to be due mainly to blood cells; chicken and rabbit blood cells are equally active. The problems of the origin of the endoderm and of the interactions occurring during the organogenesis of the yolk-sac endoderm are discussed.

Intestinalization of the area-vitellina endoderm cultured in association with digestive-tract mesenchymes.

Small-intestine-type differentiation of the area-vitellina endoderm of quail embryos, cultured in association with digestive-tract mesenchymes of chick embryos, was analysed chronologically with special attention to the appearance of a striated border and its enzymes (alkaline phosphatase and a-glucosidase). Undifferentiated endoderm of the area vitellina differentiated first into yolk-sac pare...

Differentiation of Mouse Yolk Sac Cells to Erythroid Cells in The Presence of Erythropoietin

Purpose: Yolk sac hematopoietic stem cells (YS-HSC) have two dominant characteristices: a larger reproductive capacity and the absence of the expression of MHC associated antigens. Therefore, these cells are promising candidates for transplantation, cell therapy and gene manipulation. There are controversial reports on the effects of erythropoietin (EPO) on the differentiation of yolk sac cells...

Differentiation of the yolk-sac endoderm under the influence of the digestive-tract mesenchyme.

To reveal differentiation potency of yolk-sac endoderm, this tissue from quail embryos was cultured alone or in association with digestive-tract mesenchymes of chick embryos. When yolk-sac endoderm was cultured alone in vitro, the endoderm of the area vitellina differentiated into the yolk-sac parenchyma, but the endoderm of the extraembryonic area pellucida (EEAP) failed to differentiate into ...

Role of the renin-angiotensin system in primitive erythropoiesis in the chick embryo.

Inactivation of the gene encoding mouse angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE), which converts angiotensin I into angiotensin II, results in anemia in adult animals. This anemia is corrected by angiotensin II, demonstrating the involvement of angiotensin II in adult (definitive) erythropoiesis. We investigated the possible role of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) in primitive erythropoiesis in...

فراوانی بروز مارکر گلیپیکان 3 (GPC3) در تومورهای سلول زایای بیضه

Background and purpose: Germ cell tumor is the most common malignancy of men between 15-34 years of age. Proper treatment is highly dependent on accurate histologic diagnosis, and different markers such as cytokeratin, CD3, GPC3 and etc. were proposed. It was reported that GPC3 is over expressed in testicular germ cell tumors by micro array assay. The aim of this study was to evaluate the expre...
